The Water Aftercooler Adapter is mounted on the aftercooler itself, which is a heat exchanger located within the engine's air intake system. Hot compressed air exiting the turbocharger passes through the aftercooler, where it is cooled by circulating coolant. The water aftercooler adapter provides a leak-proof connection point for the hoses that carry this coolant to and from the engine's main water cooling system.
