The Fuel Injection Pump Regulator Rack controls and regulates the amount of fuel delivered to each injector. The regulator rack achieves this function by converting the linear motion of the fuel control lever, into rotational motion for the fuel injection pump. This rotation adjusts the effective stroke length of the fuel plungers or barrels, thereby controlling the fuel quantity injected into each cylinder during the combustion cycle.
