The Crankcase Breather Baffle is positioned near the oil return line from the cylinder head. It creates a partial barrier within the oil pan, separating the crankcase ventilation passage from the main oil sump area. This design allows oil vapors and air to flow towards the system through designated channels in the baffle while helping to prevent excessive oil splash and foaming caused by crankshaft rotation. The baffle can be constructed from sheet steel metal and is secured to the oil pan walls using bolts or rivets.
