The Service Brake Piston Housing's primary function is to enclose and guide the brake pistons and facilitate the braking process. When the brake pedal is pressed, hydraulic pressure is applied to the pistons within the housing forcing them to move outward. This movement pushes the brake pads or shoes against the brake rotor or drum, generating friction and causing the vehicle to slow down or come to a stop. It is equipped with seals and protective features to prevent brake fluid leakage and shield the pistons from contaminants.
