A Water Aftercooler Core is a heat exchanger used in compressed air systems, particularly for turbocharged engines. It lowers the temperature of compressed air exiting the turbocharger by transferring heat to circulating water. It consists of a series of tubes through which compressed air flows. These tubes are connected to a network of fins, which increase the surface area available for heat exchange. The core is made to maximize the contact between the compressed air and the cooling water, facilitating effective heat transfer.
