An Evaporator Coil is responsible for the cooling process through phase change principles. It operates in conjunction with the condenser coil to facilitate heat transfer and maintain the desired indoor temperature. It primarily consists of a network of finned tubing usually made of copper or aluminium. Refrigerant, in a liquid state, flows through this tubing. As warm air from the indoor space is blown over the coil's fins by the system's fan, the refrigerant absorbs the heat from the air. This heat absorption causes the refrigerant to evaporate into a gas, effectively lowering the air temperature.
