The center wear plate, made from a hard, abrasion-resistant material like hardened steel, is located at the top of the center cutting-edge segments of the bucket. It protects the cutting edge from the abrasive and high-stress conditions it encounters during operation.

• Hardened to Rockwell C scale hardness value of 38 HRC to increase the strength and wear resistance
