The Engine Coolant Tank Tube is a component of an Engine cooling system, that connects the overflow tank to the radiator. The purpose of the coolant tank tube is to allow for the expansion and contraction of the coolant as it heats up and cools down during Engine operation. When the Engine is running and the coolant gets hot, it expands and can flow into the overflow tank through the tube. Conversely, when the Engine cools down, the coolant contracts, creating a vacuum that draws the coolant back into the radiator through the tube.
