A Three Section Gear Pump is a type of positive displacement pump that consists of three separate gear sets, each contained within its section. The pump is driven by an external power source, such as an electric motor or an engine. Each section of the pump contains a pair of intermeshing gears – one is the driving gear (or rotor) and the other is the driven gear (or idler). As the gears rotate, they create a sealed chamber between the gear teeth and the pump housing.
