The Drive Axle Labyrinth Seal is designed to prevent contaminants such as dirt, water, and debris from entering the drive axle assembly. Its design consists of a series of interlocking grooves or channels for contaminants attempting to enter the axle assembly. This labyrinthine structure effectively traps particles and prevents them from reaching internal components, such as bearings and gears, thus reducing the risk of premature wear and damage.
