An Engine Radiator Core is used to facilitate the transfer of heat from the engine coolant to the surrounding air, effectively cooling the engine. It consists of a network of small tubes or passages arranged in a grid pattern, usually made of aluminum. These tubes are attached to thin metal fins, which increase the surface area available for heat transfer.
Attributes:
• Helps maintain the engine at an optimal operating temperature
• Reduced temperatures minimize wear and tear on engine components
Applications:
An Engine Radiator Core maximizes the surface area available for heat transfer, ensuring efficient cooling of the engine coolant. As the coolant passes through the tubes, heat is transferred from the coolant to the metal walls of the tubes. The metal fins attached to the tubes act as heat sinks, absorbing the heat from the tubes and providing a larger surface area for the air to flow through.
