A Windshield Wiper Drive is responsible for translating the rotational motion from the wiper motor into the back-and-forth motion required to operate the windshield wiper arms. This drive mechanism is located within the wiper transmission and can efficiently and reliably transfer power to the wiper arms. The drive mechanism consists of a series of linkages, and gears that convert the rotational motion of the wiper motor into the sweeping motion needed to move the wiper arms across the windshield.
