Description:
A Straight Sleeve Bearing sometimes called bushings, journal bearings or plain bearings facilitates motion between two components. They are appropriate for a variety of heavy-duty applications because of their high load capacity. A sleeve bearing is a type of bearing device that creates a friction-free surface between two rotating components. It provides a smooth surface for one part to rotate against, reducing friction and wear between the two parts. This Sleeve Bearing is placed at the end of the Boom cylinder assembly to provide smooth operation of the piston rod.

Applications:
A Straight Sleeve Bearing is used in the Boom Cylinder to provide support for the piston rod as it moves in and out of the cylinder, generally used to reduce the friction between the moving parts. Mostly used in Cat 320D, 320D2, 320D2 L, 320D2 GC, 320D3, and 323D3 Excavators.
