An Oil Slinger Ring is a small, circular ring that is made of steel and is to control the flow of oil within the engine. The Ring is placed in between the Baffle and Thrower. As the crankshaft rotates, the oil slinger Ring spins with it, creating a centrifugal force that pushes the oil away from the crankshaft and toward the bearings.

• Acts as a shield, preventing dirt, dust, and other contaminants from entering the engine
Applications:
An Oil Slinger Ring spins along with the crankshaft. Due to its position and design, it dips into the oil sump at its lowest point. As the ring speeds up, centrifugal force throws the oil outwards, creating a mist that coats engine components with a protective layer of lubrication.
