A Lip Type Seal, also known as a radial shaft seal, is used to prevent the leakage of fluids between two mating surfaces. The primary function of a lip seal is to provide a barrier between the internal and external environments, ensuring that lubricants stay in and contaminants stay out. It has a flexible lip that is in contact with the shaft and creates a barrier to prevent the fluid from leaking out.
