An Electric Starting Motor, also known as a Starter Motor, is a component responsible for initiating the engine of a machine using electrical power. Its purpose is to deliver high torque at low speeds, enabling the engine to crank and overcome initial resistance to rotation. When the operator initiates the starting process by turning the ignition key, an electrical current is transmitted to the starting motor. The motor then converts this electrical energy into mechanical energy, resulting in the rotation of the motor shaft. As the engine's crankshaft turns, it begins to draw in fuel and air, eventually leading to the ignition and combustion process. Once the engine reaches a certain speed or successfully ignites, the electric starting motor automatically disengages from the engine. This design ensures smooth and efficient starting operations.
