A Bar Plate Radiator operates on the principle of heat exchange and consists of a series of alternating flat bars and plate fins that are stacked and brazed together. Hot compressed air from the turbocharger or supercharger enters one side of the radiator through an inlet manifold. The charge air flows through the narrow passages formed by the bars and plates while cooling air is directed across the external surface of the radiator. It is designed to cool down the compressed air, also known as charge air, before it enters the engine's intake manifold.
