379-2009: Wire Unsealed Female Crimp Terminal

A Wire Unsealed Female Crimp Terminal is used for crimping onto the stripped end of a wire. It has a female contact area that allows it to connect with a male terminal or a pin on a socket. Unlike sealed terminals, unsealed terminals lack a protective enclosure around the connection point. It is platted with tin which acts as a barrier, protecting the underlying copper or brass from corrosion.
