The Differential Pressure Sensor is used to measure the pressure difference across the diesel particulate filter. As exhaust gases pass through the diesel particulate filter, particulate matter accumulates, causing an increase in backpressure. The sensor detects this pressure difference and provides data to the engine control unit. Based on the sensor readings, the engine control unit initiates regeneration cycles to burn off the trapped soot and regenerate the diesel particulate filter. This process helps prevent diesel particulate filter clogging and ensures efficient exhaust emissions control.
Attributes:
• Continuously monitors delta pressure to ensure timely initiation of diesel particulate filter regeneration cycles.
• Designed for accuracy, durability, and reliability under harsh conditions.
• Helps safeguard system components from damage due to pressure imbalances.
Applications:
The Differential Pressure Sensor ensures effective diesel particulate filter regeneration, reducing harmful emissions, and maintaining compliance with emission standards in diesel-powered equipment across different applications.
