An Evaporator Coil is located inside the cabin's Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) unit. The coil absorbs heat from the cabin air, causing the refrigerant within the coil to evaporate, which cools and dehumidifies the air before it is recirculated into the cabin. It is made from copper or aluminum tubing due to their excellent thermal conductivity. The coil features a series of thin metal fins, usually aluminum, which are attached to the tubing to increase the surface area, enhancing the coil's ability to transfer heat.
