The Air Hose in the exhaust aftertreatment system is responsible for periodically cleaning and regenerating the diesel particulate filter (DPF). During the DPF regeneration process, the air hose supplies high-pressure, high-flow air to the regen device to superheat the DPF substrate to the necessary temperatures to effectively oxidize and expel the trapped particulate matter.

Attributes:
• Protects against wear and damage from contact with surrounding components, road debris, etc.
• Shields the inner hose components from the extreme radiant heat of the exhaust system and DPF during regeneration
• Helps to isolate the air hose from the high-frequency vibrations present in the machine
• Part must withstand a maximum working pressure of 172 kPa and a maximum temperature of 260 °C

Applications:
The Air Hose is used in the aftertreatment regen device (Ard) part of the clean emission module to maintain its integrity and airtight sealing throughout the DPF regeneration process, which can involve hundreds or thousands of high-temperature cycles.
