The Differential Case Output Cover is a key component of the drive axle assembly. It's bolted directly to the housing flange at the output end of the differential case. This cover provides a sealed enclosure for the differential gearset, which consists of bevel gears, pinion gears, and side gears. The cover also features machined surfaces that mate with the axle shafts, allowing for smooth power transfer and gear engagement.
