A Diesel Particulate Filter Sensor is used in diesel engines equipped with a Diesel Particulate Filter system to monitor the efficiency and performance. It is used to measure the level of soot or particulate matter accumulated in the Diesel Particulate Filter and provide feedback to the engine control unit for optimal Diesel Particulate Filter regeneration and maintenance. The sensing element is located within or near the Diesel Particulate Filter and is responsible for detecting the soot or particulate matter level.
