An Expansion Valve is used to regulate the flow of refrigerant from the high-pressure side to the low-pressure side of the unit. It controls the pressure, temperature, and superheat levels in the evaporator coil to ensure optimal cooling performance. Adjusting the size of the valve opening, maintains the desired pressure drop and temperature in the evaporator, allowing for efficient heat transfer and dehumidification.
