It is machined to precise dimensions and may feature grooves, or other geometric features to enhance its performance. The piston may accommodate seals and rings on the grooves to ensure a secure and leak-free connection between the piston and the valve body.

Applications:
A Load Piston is actuated when the fluid pressure in the valve reaches a certain threshold, it creates pressure on the piston. This force counteracts the load spring's resistance, causing the load piston to move against the spring tension. As a result, the valve's internal passages and orifices adjust, regulating the fluid flow and maintaining the desired pressure level.
