Description:
An Adjusting screw is a mechanical component used to adjust the tension or clearance of the brake mechanism in a machine's steering system. It is located near the steering brake and is connected to the brake linkage. Its purpose is to regulate the amount of tension or clearance between the brake shoes or pads and the brake drum or disc. By turning the adjusting screw, the distance between the brake components can be increased or decreased, thereby affecting the responsiveness and effectiveness of the steering brake.
Attributes:
• Withstand the forces and pressures exerted during braking operations.
• Designed to resist corrosion and durability.
• Prevent unwanted changes due to vibrations or regular use.
Applications:
An Adjusting screw is used for precise control and maneuverability during tight turns or while navigating challenging terrains. It is extensively used in Cat 571A, 571F, 571G, 572E, 572F and 572G Pipelayer, 786 Bottom Dump Body, 786 Truck, 977K, 977K, 977L, 977L, 983 and 983B Track Loader, 988 Wheel Loader, D6C, D6D, D6E, D6E, D6G, D6F, D6G, D7E, D7F, and D7G Track Type Tractor, TR35 Powertrain.
