A Lip-Type Seal is designed to provide a tight seal against the drum shaft and cone-bearing, creating a positive seal to prevent the loss of lubricant and maintain proper lubrication into the cone-bearing which helps to reduce friction and prevent premature wear as well as its ability to withstand extreme temperatures and harsh environmental conditions.

Attributes:

Has high tensile strength and abrasion resistance.

Applications:
A Lip-Type Seal is used to prevent the ingress of contaminants from the interface between the cone bearing and a drum shaft on a Winch Drum Shaft, mostly used in Cat® 561B, 561C, 572C, 572D and 583C, 583E Pipelayer, 6, 977D, 977E, 977H, D1, D2, D3, D3K, D4K, D5, D5K, D6, D6B, D7, D7A, D7C, D7D, D8D, D8G and D8E, D8F Track Type Tractor, 631D, 633D, 637D, 639D, 641, 650, 650, 660, 666, 651, 657, 660 and 666 Wheel Tractor Scrapers, 955H Track Loader, D11000 and D13000 Engine (Piston).
