An Engine Flywheel is a heavy rotating mass that stores kinetic energy. It is located at the rear of the engine and is connected to the crankshaft. The primary function of the flywheel assembly is to store kinetic energy. This energy is used to smooth out the power delivery from the engine and to help start the engine. The flywheel assembly also includes a ring gear, which is attached to the flywheel using bolts or rivets. The ring gear is used to start the engine and to transfer power from the engine to the transmission.
