The radiator consists of a series of tubes and fins that facilitate the transfer of heat from the engine coolant to the surrounding air. The engine coolant, a mixture of water and antifreeze, flows through the radiator tubes. As the hot coolant passes through the tubes, the heat is transferred to the metal fins. The radiator's design maximizes the surface area of the fins to enhance heat dissipation. The airflow, generated by the vehicle's movement or aided by an electric or mechanical fan, passes through the fins, carrying away the heat and cooling the coolant. The cooled coolant then circulates back to the engine to absorb more heat, completing the cooling cycle.
