A Temperature Sensor Thermowell protects the temperature sensor probe from harsh process conditions while allowing it to accurately measure the temperature of a fluid or gas. It is a cylindrical metal tube that is installed into a process line of plug pipe. The thermowell acts as a barrier between the temperature sensor and the process medium, providing a protective enclosure that isolates the sensor from direct contact with the fluid or gas.
