The Governor Control Linkage translates the movement of the throttle lever or control mechanism into adjustments of the governor to regulate and maintain a constant or desired speed of rotation of the engine. As the throttle lever is moved, the linkage unit actuates the governor, causing it to respond and make the required adjustments to maintain the desired speed.
