A Wave Spring, also known as a wave compression spring, utilizes a wave-like or corrugated design to provide axial force or to absorb shocks. The wave spring consists of a single continuous strip of flat wire or thin metal ribbon, which is formed into a series of alternating crests and troughs. It is characterized by having multiple waves in its structure which involves the use of a flat wire or strip material that is wound into a series of interconnected waves.
