A Magnetic Pickup Sensor operates based on the principle of magnetic induction or the Hall effect. As the engine's crankshaft rotates, it generates a magnetic field. It detects the changes in this magnetic field and converts them into electrical signals that can be processed by the engine control unit (ECU). By continuously monitoring the engine's speed, the sensor facilitates real-time engine diagnostics and detects abnormalities or malfunctions.
