The Steering Column is a part of the machine's Steering unit that connects the Steering wheel to the Steering gearbox or rack and pinion. It serves as a structural link between the driver's input and the actual movement of the machine's wheels and it is designed to transmit the rotational force applied by the driver on the Steering wheel to the lower Steering Column, where it is further converted into lateral movement.
