The Axle Drive Shaft connects the transmission or transfer case to the differential, allowing torque to be transferred to the wheels, thus enabling the equipment to move. As the engine generates power, it is channeled through the transmission and drivetrain unit, ultimately reaching the axle drive shaft. The axle drive shaft rotates and transmits this power to the differential, where it is distributed to the wheels, resulting in the propulsion of the equipment.
