An Air Inlet Precleaner is used in the air intake unit of an internal combustion engine. Its primary function is to remove the larger particles and debris from the incoming air before it reaches the main air filter. The pre-cleaner consists of a cylindrical or conical housing with an inlet for the incoming air and an outlet that connects to the main air filter. The swirling motion causes the heavier particles, such as dust, dirt, and debris, to be flung outwards and collected in a separate chamber or collection area within the pre-cleaner body.
