The Compression Spring is a helix-shaped part that works by compressing under an applied load and releasing energy when removed. In the winch clutch, the compression spring is responsible for providing the force to engage and disengage the clutch. When the clutch is actuated, the compression spring is compressed, and the clutch is disengaged. When the clutch pedal is released, the compression spring returns to its uncompressed state, and the clutch is engaged.
