20R-9709: Cat® C9.38 Reman Short Block

REQUIRED For Replacement labeled Engines, Long Blocks, and short blocks sold within the U.S. and U.S. Territories the engine core (i.e. old engine) that is removed MUST be returned to your selling Caterpillar dealer, so that they can return to Caterpillar  OR  destroy, as required by law. Proof of return or destruction will then be provided to the EPA and or California ARB if required. Description:
Cat Reman short blocks such as 20R-9709 include a cylinder block, crankshaft, pistons, and connecting rods. Cat Reman short blocks are disassembled, thoroughly flushed to meet rigid cleanliness standards, and inspected for cracks, erosion, or other damage. Block top decks and cylinder head bottom decks are resurfaced to original specifications. Fully assembled and ready to be built into your engine, short blocks are facility remanufactured using genuine Cat parts and include all critical engineering updates. Because all internal components are installed and adjusted at the facility, Cat Reman short blocks get you back to work quickly.
