Cat Reman alternator such as part # 20R4037 is designed to energize the battery to power your machine. There are two types: Brush-Type Design uses one-piece brushes for less maintenance, with constant-pressure springs for even brush wear; and our Brushless Design has fewer moving parts, tighter air gap tolerances and quality sealing for longer life in harsh environments (dirt, dust, heat or cold) compared with Brush-Type. Electronic voltage regulators and a high-efficiency cooling system are built in. We replace all gaskets and seals, starter O-rings, seals, and boots with new. Cat Reman alternators are quiet, compact, and lightweight, designed to be part of a balanced electrical system.
