These shims are used to fine-tune the fitment of parts, compensating for slight variations in dimensions and achieving desired clearances. It consists of a set of thin metal shims that are precisely machined to specific thicknesses. These shims are strategically placed between the gear and the housing. This ensures efficient power transmission and smooth operation of the rear axle.
