A Governor Compression Spring is a mechanical part used by engine governors to control and regulate the speed of an engine. It is used to provide a precise amount of force necessary to counteract the centrifugal forces acting on the governor flyweights and regulate engine speed for achieving precise speed control and ensuring the engine operates within the desired speed range.

Attributes:
• Provided with total coils of 9 and active coils of 7 as right-hand wound helical coil that helps to maintain the shape and stability
• Provided a spring rate of 40 lb/in to store and release the mechanical energy needed for the governor

Applications:
A Governor Compression Spring exerts force on the governor plunger valve, which in turn regulates the flow of fuel to the engine. By controlling the fuel supply, the governor plunger valve compression spring is used in maintaining the desired engine speed and power output.
