The Compression Spring for the engine shutoff plunger is designed to assist in the operation of the fuel shutdown solenoid by providing the necessary tension to hold the shutoff plunger in the closed position when the engine is running. When the engine is shut off, the spring helps retract the plunger, allowing fuel flow to cease and shutting down the engine.
Attributes:
• Total number of coils is 8 and the active coil is 6.
• The direction of the coil is right-hand side.
• The solid length is 0.328 inches
• Designed to withstand the stress and forces encountered during engine startup
• Resistant to corrosion, rust, and wear for extended service life.
Applications:
The Compression Spring for the engine shutoff plunger is used to provide the necessary tension to hold the shutoff plunger in the closed position when the engine is running and to assist in retracting the plunger when the engine is shut off.
