An Extension Spring is a type of mechanical spring that is used to resist stretching or pulling forces for the movements of the governor control linkage. It is made from round wire and features hooks on each end that allow it to be attached to other parts. When the spring is pulled or stretched, it stores potential energy, which is released when the force is removed, causing the spring to return to its original length.
Attributes:
• Provided with a spring rate of 0.412N/mm after initial tension, which provides high stiffness to the spring
• Provided with 2 hooks to connect the spring to the control lever and cable support bracket
Applications:
An Extension Spring is used in the governor control linkage to provide the necessary force to return the link to its original position after it has been pulled, contributing to the overall safety and function of the governor control linkage.
