REQUIRED For Replacement labeled Engines, Long Blocks, and short blocks sold within the U.S. and U.S. Territories the engine core (i.e. old engine) that is removed MUST be returned to your selling Caterpillar dealer, so that they can return to Caterpillar  OR  destroy, as required by law. Proof of return or destruction will then be provided to the EPA and or California ARB if required. See PELJ1301 for additional details.

The Cylinder Block is made up of several cylinders, depending on the type and specification of the engine model being built, and it will include cylinder walls, coolant passages, and cylinder sleeves. The number of Cylinders used is six. The Cylinder Blocks are designed to withstand a variety of temperatures and loads to maintain the stability and lubrication of each Engine.

Attributes:
• Contains the water galleries needed to provide cooling to the engine to maintain its optimum operating temperature
• Help to maintain proper engine operating temperatures and prevent overheating
• Manufactured to precise specifications and are built for durability, and reliability

Applications:
The Cylinder Block used in the Engine provides support and housing for the engine's major components, enabling the combustion process and power generation.
