Compression springs come in a variety of strengths and sizes to fit specific applications. Compression springs are helical designed springs for compression and tension whereby the spring gets compressed (shorter) as more weight is applied. One of the biggest benefits of compression springs is the ability to resist the movement of another component. This feature makes a very tiny compression spring integral in the internal construction and function of the gauge. They are open-coil helical springs wound or constructed to oppose compression along the axis of wind. Helical Compression is the most common metal spring configuration. These coil springs can work independently, though often assembled over a guide rod or fitted inside a hole.

Attributes:
• Spring ends are closed and grounded to reduce the Buckling and improve better seating.
• Spring Rate: 3.22N/mm.
• Can withstand a Load of 100N at a minimum operating length of 39mm.

Applications:
A Compression spring is used to control fluid flow by varying the size of the flow passage as directed by a signal from a controller. Used in anything that requires stored energy within machines and in workshops. Compression springs come in varieties to suit the needs including barrel, conical and double cone springs.
