A Charging Alternator is designed to generate an electrical power supply to charge the Battery and supply electricity to the parts that require electricity in a machine. When the engine is running the Charging Alternator converts mechanical energy from the engine's rotation into electrical energy. The rotating rotor induces a current in the stator windings, producing an alternate current. The AC produced by the stator is rectified by the diodes within the Alternator, which converts the Alternating current into a direct current that can be used to charge the machine's battery.
