A Compression Spring is positioned between the relief valve and retainer to hold it with the required pressure. The spring compresses, exerting a force that helps to regulate the flow of fluids through the valve. Compression Springs are used as they allow for more efficient energy storage methods and provide a smooth change in resistance over time.

Applications:
