The Spring Washer provides tension and prevents loosening in bolted connections. It consists of a flat disc with a central hole and a slightly conical shape. When a fastener such as a bolt or screw is tightened, the spring washer is compressed between the head of the fastener and the surface being fastened. This compression generates a preload force that keeps the joint tight and prevents the fastener from becoming loose over time.
Attributes:
• Hardened to Rockwell hardness of C 40-48, which determines it's resistant to deformation and wear
• Withstands a wide range of temperatures, allowing them to maintain their performance and tension in both high and low-temperature environments
Applications:
The Spring Washer ensures that the fastener remains tightly secured by providing tension and resisting loosening due to vibrations, thermal expansion, or settling in the joint.
